It's our show now, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.

Students should submit a 1 minute cut of a musical theatre song by October 21st to fireflytheatrical@gmail.com. On SundayThen the entire group will learn a dance combination. Please bring jazz dance shoes if you have them (tennis shoes if not, no barefoot dancing or dancing in open toed shoes allowed.)

PARENT PORTAL: You will need to create a Parent Portal account and add this production on your account prior to auditions. All students who register will be cast.

Grades: 8th - 12th
Auditions: Submit video by October 21st
Callbacks: October 25th, 3:30-6:00 (all auditionees should come for dance call 3:30-4:30, callback reading/singing will follow that for those who are called)
Dates: Nov 12th, 2026 - Jan 30th, 2027 (Thursdays 6-9 pm, Saturdays 10am-1pm); also Tuesday Jan 5th 6-9 pm and Jan 19th 6-9 pm (No rehearsals Nov 21, 26, Dec 17, 19, 24, 26, 31, Jan 14, 16)
Performances: Jan 29th (7 pm), Jan 30th (2 pm and 7 pm)
Cost: $550 (can be broken into three payments)

Technical Track: Technical track students meet at the same time as the performers but work on set construction, painting, costumes, and props. Tech students are the crew for the performance days running spotlight, helping backstage, and other responsibilities.
