Firefly Classes Winter 2026

Our Winter 2026 classes will begin the week of November 9th, 2026 and runs until January 22nd, 2027. (Fall classes end October 23rd and are closed for enrollment.) Because of all the holiday school breaks, the classes will be between 6-9 times. Breaks follow Cobb County Schools. We will hold classes on digital learning days.

Mondays, 5-6 pm - Stage Stars – Grades K-2nd
In this class our youngest actors will begin exploring and using their actors’ tools - their bodies, voices, and imaginations! They will use these skills along with creative drama to explore magical worlds, tell stories, create characters, and sing and dance. This ensemble based class is the perfect starting point for any young artist interested in theatre and story telling. (8 classes, $176 for entire session; class dates: Nov 9, 16, 30, Dec 7, Dec 14, Jan 4, Jan 11, Jan 25)

Mondays 8-9 pm - Improv - Grades 5th-12th
Through fun games and exercises, students will gain more confidence, more creativity, and more playfulness with the basic improv skills of listening, reacting, working with others, and trusting oneself. Not only will it make you more comfortable while thinking on your feet, it’s really fun! (6 classes, $132 for entrie session; class dates: Nov 9, 16, 30, Dec 7, Dec 14, Jan 4)

Tuesdays, 4-5 pm - Junior Drama – Grades 3rd-5th
In this creative drama class, students will use their actors’ toolbox (body, voice, and imagination) to weave stories, create characters, and discover new worlds through the power of imaginative play. Students will also learn the fundamentals of acting while discovering theatre skills that can be used for the rest of their lives! This ensemble based class is the perfect place for young actors to begin honing their skills while also having a ton of fun with friends. (9 classes, $200 for entire session; class dates: Nov 10, Nov 17, Dec 1, Dec 8, Dec 15, Jan 5, Jan 12, Jan 19, Jan 26)

Tuesdays, 5-6 pm - Showstoppers (Musical Theatre)– Grades 3rd-5th
In this class, students will begin honing the skills necessary to become a true triple threat! They will work together as an ensemble to learn musical theatre repertoire and choreography, all while strengthening their acting and character work. This is the perfect class for any student interested in doing the musicals here at Firefly, because it gives them the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to successfully rehearse and perform a show as a singer/actor/dancer!  (9 classes, $200 for entire session; class dates: Nov 10, Nov 17, Dec 1, Dec 8, Dec 15, Jan 5, Jan 12, Jan 19, Jan 26)

Tuesdays, 8-9 pm - Intermediate Dance (Musical Theater Style) – Grades 5th-12th
This class is perfect for beginners and those still fairly new to dancing in musical theater. This class will focus on dance technique and choreography useful in performing in musical theater. Wednesdays, 6-7 pm - Small Group Singing – Grades 4th-7th
Discover your unique voice and build stage confidence in a supportive, low-pressure environment. These small group classes combine foundational vocal technique (breathing, pitch, and tone) with collaborative ensemble singing, offering a fun, affordable alternative to private lessons. (6 classes, $132 for entire session; class dates: Nov 11, Nov 18, Dec 2, Dec 9, Jan 6, Jan 20)

Wednesdays, 7-8 pm - Triple Threats (Musical Theatre) - Grades 6th-12th
Take your musical theatre training to the next level in this slightly more rigorous triple threat class! Students will work on musical theatre repertoire and choreography, strengthen their vocal skills, and hone their acting abilities. In addition to ensemble based performing, students will also delve into solo and monologue work, preparing them for auditions and shows in their future! (6 classes, $132 for entire session; class dates: Nov 11, Nov 18, Dec 2, Dec 9, Jan 6, Jan 20)

Wednesdays, 8-9 pm - Acting Fundamentals – Grades 6th-12th
Students will delve into key aspects of acting, including voice, movement, improvisation and character development. Participants will learn essential techniques to express emotions authentically, develop believable characters, and effectively communicate narratives on stage and screen. Interactive exercises and scene study will form the core of the curriculum, offering students ample opportunity to explore and apply what they learn in a supportive and encouraging environment. Emphasis will be placed on developing a nuanced understanding of text analysis, emotional vulnerability, and the physicality required to inhabit diverse roles. (6 classes, $132 for entire session; class dates: Nov 11, Nov 18, Dec 2, Dec 9, Jan 6, Jan 20)

Fridays, 6-9 pm - Dungeons & Dragonflies - Grades 4th-12th
This class teaches students the basics of Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. Students will learn to create characters and then embark on a journey together that will take creativity, teamwork, and acting! The instructors will run four simultaneous campaigns each week grouped by age. No experience necessary! This class has a limit of 24 students (6 per campaign group). (6 classes, $132 for entire session; class dates: Nov 13, Nov 20, Dec 4, Dec 11, Jan 8, Jan 22)
